Frida Face

Okay, so I normally don't write in this blog. The pictures I post don't usually need much explaining, but this one does.

So, it all began on a Sunday evening while I was typing in my usual ergonomically incorrect position, flopped on the floor with my laptop in front of me, when our new feline roommate, Frida came to deliver her daily dose of strange behavior. She trotted around me, walking sideways, stopping short, and the usual inexplicable cat behaviors until she came to my side and began to stare. This is not unusual, but for some reason, I felt inspired to fire up the iSight and snap a picture of our staring contest.

This was the result.

Okay, now look at her face... I mean really look at it. Something about the high contrast causing her to appear as one black blob and the odd expression on her face delighted me.

Really look...

Okay, not normal, right? So, in an inspired moment, I thought I would create a knockout of the face for my own amusement and I got a little carried away.

Now you see why an explanation was necessary. Although, now that I think about it, it still doesn't really explain why.
